Uranium Market
Overview
Our newsletter covers in depth the
uranium industry and its
necessary components. There
are numerous hours of research
put into each letter as well as the
updates. Here's an overview
however of why we so firmly
believe that this is the next "Big
Idea":
Supply:
Currently producers cannot meet
worldwide demand for uranium
and the shortfall in produced
uranium is being filled by dwindling
military stockpiles. Between
50-60% of uranium comes from
mines today, the rest is supplied
from the before mentioned
stockpiles.
Demand:
Demand is growing at an
increasing rate now that China
and India are requiring more
electricity in order to modernize
their economies. There are plans
for over 100 new reactors
worldwide in the next 20 years,
with many more proposed (Russia
just announced up to 30-40 total).
Pricing:
We believe that uranium
prices will continue to rise
as the gap in supply and
demand is realized not only
by the market, but by the
media as well. For those
who thought oil was bad,
just wait until the bull rush
takes place on uranium,
because that is when the
full value of uranium has
the potential to be realized.
This metal was far too
cheap all these years, and
now we must play catch-up
in order to be able to meet
tomorrow's energy needs,
that is why the price has
risen dramatically and will
continue its upward surge
in the future.
On October 17, 2006 we made our call for the future, "Our view is that uranium goes to $250 per pound by the
year 2015, maybe sooner." This call is looking as though it WILL be accomplished sooner, rather than later. We
also stated in this article that, "When the Russians pull the last 'Super Power' subsidies out from under the market
in 2013, uranium will meet our price target and could very well be on its way to $400 per pound by 2020." Some
laughed at us and scoffed at the notion that uranium could achieve these lofty goals we have set forth, however
the mishap at Cameco's Cigar Lake appears to have altered many people's thinking and now the big brokerage
houses are calling for uranium to reach or exceed $100. We stand by this projection and cannot wait for the day
to prove those wrong who did not take us seriously.
